WELCOME ..... YOU HAVE ENTERED THE BOWHUNTERS DISCUSSION AREA!!
This area has been created for the express purpose of your enjoyment and a place to talk about Bowhunting and archery related topics.
However.....If you derive joy from beating down others then this area is not going to work out real well for you
The Discussion area is a place to communicate to other bowhunters about your love of bowhunting and archery.
Please be respectful to other forum members. Access to and participation in this forum is not a right but rather a privilege to be enjoyed. Do your part to ensure that your conduct is positive and respectful.
Universal Rules are rules that are enforced throughout the entire board and must be followed at all times by all users. Understanding (including all changes) these rules are the responsibility of the user alone. It might look like a lot, but most of it is common courtesy and common sense. They are subject to change at any time. Each member is responsible for keeping up with any updates. By using this message forum, you agree to these rules.
Short Version (See detailed explanation below.):
1) No profanity, inappropriate material, or content/pictures. This is a family friendly site.
2) No illegal content or copyrighted material without permission.
3) No harassment of other forum members.
4) No spamming (advertising).
5) No trolling.
6) Account Responsibility - Protect your password; keep it updated.
7) No multiple accounts. Only one account (member name) per person.
8) No recruiting for other forums. As a member here, you will not promote yours or other web forums
9) Read and follow staff messages.
10) Staff can delete or lock messages at any time if postings violate forum rules.
11) Release of Other User’s Private or Personal Information.
12) No slanderous or libelous posts. Knowingly making false claims about a company, organization or an individual are prohibited.
13) Other Rules - Listen to the mods. Do not use loop holes. Mods determine what is considered flaming, spam, etc. (more in the section below)
14) Content posted on this forum becomes the property of the internet. By posting in an open forum, your posting no longer belong to you.
Long Version
1) No profanity, inappropriate material, or content.
This is a family friendly forum; we have users of all ages, including children. Do not post links to sites that have content rated as "mature" Profanity is strictly prohibited. Any material that is pornographic, sexually explicit, visually offensive, derogatory, or discriminates on the basis of gender, race, ethnicity, color, creed, religion, lifestyle, or, any other material (includes nudity and offensive pictures) that may be deemed as objectionable in a public community environment, is strictly prohibited and will be removed. A warning will be sent. If this action is repeated, you will loose your ability to contribute.
2) No illegal content.
This includes linking to any sites that may violate the rules. If you have any doubts, whatsoever, about the appropriateness of the content you want to post, don't post it. This includes but is not limited to:
• adult-oriented content
• content that breaks any laws
• copyright infringement
• gambling and drugs
• trojans, viruses, worms, and other such harmful links
3) You must not harass or abuse others.
Harassment is defined as specifically targeting another user or group of users to harm or inconvenience them. As harassment can take many forms, the moderators will make a determination as to whether or not a "reasonable person" would feel harassed and act accordingly. Actions which would be considered abuse include but are not limited to:
3.1) Sexual Abuse or Harassment - untoward and/or unwelcome advances of a graphic and sexual nature - PMs: If someone tells you to stop PMing them and includes a reason, you stop. If you do not, it will be considered harassment.
3.4) Personal Abuse - includes but is not limited to sending excessive messages or e-mails to a moderator or staff member, making physical threats, or using abusive language against a moderator or forum member.
3.5) Contributors who are argumentative, intolerant, confrontational, and lack respect for others will be removed. While debate is often healthy, habitual debaters and people who seek confrontation will be removed and potentially blocked from making future contributions. This is necessary to ensure a positive experience for the great majority of our visitors.
3.6) ***Respect other members desires to discuss legal hunting styles and methods.*** While you may disagree with other styles or methods of hunting, the fact remains that others do hunt differently than you do. As long as they are legal methods, members will be allowed to discuss them. Do not harass other members for discussing legal methods. Do not start threads to bash legal methods of hunting. Mentioning that you do not agree with or do not partake in a style of hunting is fine but harassing others for using that method to hunt will not be permitted.
4) No spamming.
Unsolicited promotion of other web sites, or products, is spam. The occasional post about a website or product is allowed, but no advertising your business, catalog site, etc. Please keep our forums free of unsolicited advertisement or product promotion. *This may be waived by the admins on request* Ask first.
5) No trolling.
In other words, don't post pointless replies to every thread that someone writes, also considered spam. If you don't have any serious things to contribute to the conversation, stay out of it. Please try to keep your replies relevant to the topic you are replying to. If they are asking about Trail Cameras, do not start going on about your arrow or tree stands. Do not post anything intended to provoke someone. Be nice, and make the forums better for everyone.
6) Account Responsibility.
You are fully responsible for your own account and protection of your password. Statements such as "My friend was using my account." are not acceptable as an explanation for the violation of any rule. If you share your account with someone and they break the rules, it will be treated the same as if you broke the rules yourself. It is also your responsibility to keep the account up to date, particularly the e-mail. If you use an e-mail that you rarely check, it is no one's fault but your own if you miss important notices from the sstaff. The same applies to using an invalid e-mail. Once again, your account and password are your responsibility and no one else's.
7) Multiple Accounts.
Multiple accounts are not allowed on the board. One account per name. There is no reason for having more than one account in your name, Dual accounts will be banned.
8) No recruiting for other forums.
You may post a link to other hunting related sites that may be of interest to other members, but no blatant recruiting. We don't allow you to come here just to try to get members to join your website. Again, the Mods/Admins will have the final word as to whether you are "recruiting" or not. If it is discovered that you have posted a link to another forum, your post will be deleted. If you continue to violate this rule, Your account and posting ability will be suspended.
9) Read and follow staff messages.
If staff or moderators post rules specific to a board, they must be followed. Staff give their own time to keep the boards running smoothly. Failure to comply with their requests is grounds for deletion. If asked by a member of Staff to stop or change a behavior or action, you will do so. It is the job of Staff to keep the forums clean, so don't think that they're "out to get you". Users will find their time on the board much more enjoyable when they follow the rules and address Staff politely
10) Staff may delete and lock messages at their discretion.
Part of the job of moderators is to keep the boards clean. Messages deemed inappropriate, old, or off topic may be deleted/locked by moderators at any time. If forum staff encounter flame wars or postings that violate the rules, those postings will be deleted. Continued violations will result in Your account and posting ability will be suspended.
11) Release of Other User’s Information or Communications.
It is unacceptable to post another user’s private/personal/public information, including email address, location of residency, contact information, or other information without express permission from that user. Express permission can come in the form of an email or phone call from the originator of the document to the forum Admin. If you wish to post the writings or works of another, you must contact the forum admin and seek the permissions mentioned above prior to posting.
Private messages from the forum or external chat clients, emails, memos, note scribbled on napkins and all other forms of communication are classified as personal and are not to be publicly posted in any shape or form onto these forums, or PMed to other users of these forums, without express permission from all parties involved. Think about how you would feel if your personal info were posted for all the world to see.
Exception!
Private Messages are susceptible to review by administrators and moderators to insure that forum rules are being followed, and are not to being used to create problems on the forums.
12) self explanatory. Violate this rule and you will be removed from this forum.
13) Other Rules
If you are told by a moderator to stop, you cannot claim that it was not stated in the rules. It is impossible and impractical to list every rule possible. Attempting to circumvent a rule will result in a more severe warning. That includes deleting a post then reposting an identical or similar version of it. That will be considered both bumping and multiple posting.
Threads directed at and/or inquiring about one person are not allowed. That is what PMs are for. For example, do not create a thread asking a member a question. Use the messaging function for such matters.
Posting for a banned member/allowing that person to use the account is also not allowed and could be considered ban evasion.
People who are temporarily banned then unbanned and return flaunting the unbanning will be banned again. Bans are not a joking matter.
On Replying to Troublesome Threads/Posts (DON'T!)
(14) This is the world wide web. This is an open forum. Content posted by any user is viewable to the whole world and thusly becomes the property of the world wide web and this forum. If you dont want the whole world to see (and be able to capture) what you post, then dont post it. When you hit the submit button, you acknowledge that you are making a public statement and you cant un-ring a bell. Once written, forever said and your post becomes the property of this forum and the internet. There is no expectation of privacy or ownership to what you freely posted for the world to see.
Rules Enforcement
Excuses for not knowing the rules will not be accepted. READ THE RULES FIRST!!When any of the above rules are violated or supposed violation occurs, forum Staff will, at their sole discretion, determine an appropriate remedy with or without communicating the warnings or results of the remedies taken. This includes but is not limited to written warnings, temporary account suspension, permanent account suspension, Account bans.
Access to this server and any of its related products is a privilege and not a right! The staff of this community moderate the server to their best of their ability and at their own discretion. Public attacks upon their decisions or non-constructive arguments will be removed and may result in banning.
E-Mail/Private Message (PM)
Remember that PM abuse will result in an immediate loss of that privilege. Using shown e-mails to break the rules will result in a ban. If you choose to hide your e-mail, provide an invalid e-mail address, disable PMs, and/or let your PM box reach its maximum capacity, the staff is not responsible for you lacking information about your account. As stated in Rules Enforcement above, the staff are in no way obligated to notify you of their actions in the first place. The times that they do this (nearly all of the time) is out of courtesy. Respect that.
Follow the rules and guidelines. Expect to be respected and offer the same courtesy to others. Enjoy your time here!!
