There are a couple of ways to post pictures:
- You can do this by clicking the Img button under the subject line of a new or reply post.
- Or you can do it by typing it out:
The best way is to upload it to a free/low-cost service, then link to it. There are many free/low-cost picture hosting websites. At those sites, you generally register, then you have an upload option.
Some allow you only separate pictures, others make albums
You upload the file and the website will tell you the URL to link to.
Common free sites:
- www.photobucket.com/ (best choice and free)
- www.villagephotos.com/
- www.freepichosting.com/
- www.theimagehosting.com/
That's the general outline. Specifically (for photobucket anyway) this is what you do:
First step is signing up for an account. Go to www.photobucket.com Once you sign up all you have to do is go to "My Album" where you can upload your pictures. Hit "browse" and it will take it to your files. Double click on the pic you want uploaded and then hit Upload. Once they are uploaded, you will get the url for that photo. It will look like this:
to see an example of what I am talking about, try to "quote" this post and you will see how it looks as text.
THE MAX PHOTO SIZE IS 640 PIXELS WIDE!!
Photos posted on this forum that are larger than 640 wide will be deleted. I can not resize your pics for you and REALLY BIG PICS take up a ton of space and force folks to scroll left and right to view your picture, so PLEASE do not post images larger then 640 wide.
Then just copy the IMG code and paste it directly into your post here at the forum. There are a ton of other options that come with photobucket so take the time to read through it.
