can you elaborate on the "Not allowed thing" In what are were you trying to create the thread? Also do you mean deer "Scent" ?

The only reason I can think of why you would not be able to start a new thread is that you were not logged in at the time. Since you can make replies to posts, you should be able to make a new thread. Try again and let me know what happens.

Here are the instructions for backing up your messages. Click the backup messages icon and you will see this:
From this page you can download a backup of all of your personal messages. You may only use this feature once every 30 days for your account.
here is the process for downloading a backup of your personal messages:
1. Click the button at the bottom of this page labeled "Backup Personal Messages."
2. Your account will be added to a queue for processing. The average time for backups being completed is 2 minutes.
3. When your personal messages are done being backed up, you will receive a Personal Message in your inbox stating that your messages are ready for downloading.
4. You have up to one (1) week to download your backup before it is removed from the server.
Our records show that you have not backed up your Personal Messages within the last month, and therefore you may proceed.
