Signature Bows Custom made One-of-a-kind WBH Bow « Thread Started on Dec 4, 2009, 9:47pm »
Wisconsin Bowhunters Association in Cooperation with Signature Bow Company of Peshtigo, WI would like to present a joint effort to create a truly one of a kind, Signature Series Bow That we will be raffling off this year.
WBH member Marshall Lund has built an absolutely beautiful bow that is as much a piece of art as it is a great, smooth and quiet, hunting or target bow. Here are some of the specs.
Axle to Axle: 35 1/2 inches
Brace Height: A forgiving 9 full inches"
Draw weight: 60 Pounds (also available in 55 Pounds)
Draw Length: 27-31 inches
Let-off: 85%, single cam design
Bow weight (W/ accessories): 4.6 pounds
Utilizing a beyond parallel limb design, Marshall created a bow that is incredibly smooth. After shooting 3 of his signature bows, I can tell you that you won't find a bow with less hand shock or vibration. It's high let-off and lack of vibration make it a real treat to shoot.
When we began the process of creating this custom Bow, our desire was not only to make a one of a kind WBH bow using WBH colors (Green, Black and Yellow) and wherever possible, us Wisconsin made parts and accessories but to also make a complete package including all accessories for the winner of this raffle. Here are a few more detail.
This bow features a machined 6061 Aluminum Riser, top quality Barnsdale limbs, Custom made strings, a custom made Quad rest and 4 pin, Viper sight that were specially anodized yellow to match the WBH color scheme. The bow features dual string tops and multiple BowJax suppressers as well as a bi-pod/stabilizer system and a matching wrist sling.
This bow also features carbon fiber inlays adorned with the WBH logo and a built in tree hook but it doesn't stop there, while the bow is now complete, we are in the process of adding a custom quiver, custom made arrows with WBH logo wraps tipped with field points as well a Rage Slip-cam Broadheads because it was our desire to make this package as much "Wisconsin made" as possible.
We are in the process of including additional accessories but you get the picture so far. This bow will be raffled off at the annual Broadhead shoot in September where you will get a chance to test it for yourself but you will get a chance to see (and shoot) this special bow at our annual convention in March.
For more information and to follow along with the process as we further customize this and complete this bow with the addition of other accessories, please stay tuned
Custom Viper H500 4 pin sight with varying pin sizes for greater view at longer ranges. The pin sizes are 0.29, 0.19 and 0.10
Acustom Quality Archery Designs Quad Ultra drop away rest
I have been lucky enough to shot this bow and Your going to be amazed at quie this bow is as well as the lack of hand shock. I made a video of myself shooting the bow to show the lack of vibration during the shot. Check it out by clicking the image below.
Wisconsin Bowhunters wants to thank Signature Bow company for making this oustanding bow and we want to thank the other companies that are a part of this venture.

If your talking about Tru-Fire. I plan to call them Monday to see if they are willing to part with an "Edge" release or a "360". I have heard many good things about them and these styles of release. They are a Wisconsin Company and hopefully willing to be part of this promotion.

Very nice looking bow!! You did a very nice job on that as usual. Will we be able to buy raffle tickets online? I'm looking to upgrade this year, so I would invest a nice chunk for the chance to get that bow.

PS. Nice rest on that bow

Yes, that's who I was referring to. Hope they sign up. They were extremely helpful to me trying to find a pistol-grip type in left-hand.

I contacted Steve Tentler (President) of Tru-Fire releases and sent him the link to this thread. I'm sure manufacturers get pestered all the time for requests for free stuff and I can imagine it is probably a pain. I sent Steve an email and this was his reply
Hello Ron,
We would greatly appreciate being part of your promotion. I'll have one of our new Edge releases sent to you ASAP.

Steve Tentler President, Tru-Fire Corp. 722 State St. N. Fond du Lac, WI 54937 920-923-6866 Fax 920-923-4051 stentler@trufire.com
Hows that for support!!!
A great big thank you goes out to Tru-Fire Releases for supporting WBH and this project. Another great Wisconsin archery company helping us out with a great donation and a heck of a fast turn around with no questions asked. Thanks for the support Steve. Here is a link to the Tru-Fire web site.

Time for another update. The Tickets are being printed and the ticket price will be $5 each or 3 for $10. I plan to get as much exposure for this bow and the raffle as I can, I took it to Sherwood Forest Bowmen (my local club) and had about 10 guys try it out. Each person that shot the bow said the same thing after the first arrow. They either said, "WOW!" or "Holy Sh@T!" then they went around telling other people that they had to try it. I think that speaks well for this bow. They are as impressed as I am. I will take the Bow to the Horicon Marsh Bowmen's WBH fundraiser night in Feb. That will be the official roll out and the first place anyone will be able to shoot the bow and buy tickets at the same time. The next event will be the WBH annual convention.
On another note. I receivd two packages in the mail. The first was from the President of Tru-Fire releases (Fond du Lac, WI) I had requested on release for this promotion but when I opened the box I found he had sent two "Edge" releases and this note:
"Here you go Ron, Keep one edge for yourself, Steve"
Of course, I will NOT be keeping the release but will instead add it to the prize list for next year's Ultimate Broadhead Challenge event that we hold at the State Broadhead shoot. Thanks again to Steve Tentler and Tru-Fire Release Company for their contribution to this promotion.

The next box I opened was from Field Logic and contained 2 (3) packs of Rage, 2 blade Slip-Cam broadheads. Thanks to another great Wisconsin Company for their generosity in being a part of this promotion. The Rage heads seem to be enjoying some great success and alot of notoriety lately. I want to thank them for their contribution to Wisconsin Bowhunters and this project.

It's time to update the status of the Signature bow promotion.
This week there were two great additions to the package. We start with an absolutely Fabulous set of custom one-of-a-kind arrows donated by Jeff Mueller of Badgerland Archery in Portage. Jeff just recently became a WBH Director.
Jeff built us a dozen Easton Full Metal Jacket arrows but that's not all, these arrow feature custom WBH Wraps that have never appeared on a arrows before.
Jeff has been incredibly generous to WBH. For the last two years, he has donated prizes to the WBH Ultimate Broadhead Challenge. Badgerland is also a sponsor of our forum. Thanks for all you do for WBH Jeff.
If you get a chance, please support those that support us. You can visit Badgerland's web site at this link.

Today, I received another fantastic addition to this Wisconsin made promotion. A few weeks ago I contacted Steve Wagnitz. Steve is the owner and President of Lakewood Products in Suamico, WI.
I told Steve about the WBH promotion and that we were looking for a top quality, Wisconsin made bow case. Without Hesitation, Steve was ready to help out. Steve donated a C-275, bowfile-41" hard/soft side case in Backland Adrenalin camo. The Signature Bow fits like a hand in a glove. This padded case will do a great job of protecting not only the bow but also the arrows and other gear.
IF you're in the market for an outstanding, quality made bow case, Look no further that Lakewood Products.
Aside from Bow cases, Lakewood Products also manufactures:

I shot 2 of Marshalls bows at the convention and they felt pretty darn nice. Wish I could have tried at longer ranges. I'm in the market for a new bow this spring and I'm sure I will be looking at his products again. Might have to get my gal one as well. I have a Lakewood case and I use Rage heads...good equipment. Good work Ron thanks

Nice work Ron. I also got to shoot this bow at the convention. Very sweet. Even with my bad shoulder I was able to shoot more poundage & hold longer than I have been. No shock & very smooth. Almost like an automatic follow through. I should have bought more than 3 tickets. Thanks sponsors also.

I picked up a Lakewood case about a month ago. Nice case. I love the design. You can leave you quiver on and the bow still fits perfect. Glad to see they support the WBH. I'm also glad to see True Fire supports the WBH as I also use their products.
